My very good friend (of over 30 years) has been diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer.
Actually she was diagnosed about 6 weeks ago. She needed to wait for the results of her biopsy.
She saw the Oncologist today and she starts her Chemo on Tuesday. He thinks she will need 4 or 5 treatments.
She lives so far away from me. I am in North America and she is in Europe. She has lots of friends and family to support and look after her but I do wish I could do something for her. I want to be there for her when she is going through the Chemo and life is horrible. She has told me not to go see her. She may change her mind. I did tell her she can change her mind at any minute. I need to figure out how to support her from afar.
I hope to write in this blog once a week and maybe more - if I need it.
It still feels so unreal to me - I can't believe she has to go through this.
